JOB DESCRIPTIONAbout the roleWe currently have a new opportunity for a
Damp, Mould & Condensation Manager to join the Guinness team. Reporting to the Head of Disrepair, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory, regulated and industry standards for damp, mould & condensation, to ensure a pro-active and safe approach to managing our people, assets, and customers.
Providing overall best practice to Repairs Surveyors and Complex Repairs Managers, you will lead on changes for a proactive approach to damp, mould & condensation. You will be responsible for establishing a process that ensures accurate and timely intervention to complex issues across all regions, streamline, implement and monitor repairs surveyor documentation, record keeping, ensuring an amalgamated approach nationally. You will conduct inspections and provide diagnosis of the most challenging and complex cases.
About youYou should have experience of leading, managing, developing and motivating operational repairs teams, with demonstrable awareness of damp, mould and condensation issues.
Ideally, you will be a Certified Surveyor of Timber & Dampness in Buildings (CSTDB) and Certified Surveyor of Dampness in Buildings (CSDB).
Essential experience:- Demonstrable awareness and understanding of Timber & Dampness in Buildings.
- Up to date knowledge of building maintenance, Decent Homes standards and safety legislation.
- Up to date knowledge of housing sector best practice and relevant legislation.
- Experience of repairs management information systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Essential qualifications:- Educated to Level 4 in Surveying or Construction & Built Environment or equivalent.
- A technical qualification (trade NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent experience).
Desirable qualifications: - Certified Surveyor of Timber & Dampness in Buildings (CSTDB) and Certified Surveyor of Dampness in Buildings (CSDB)
- RICS Expert Witness Certificate
- A recognised Leadership and Management qualification.
